Featuring previously unseen footage and outstanding archival restoration work involving radio and television recordings, the film takes viewers back through the 27 hours of the siege and military retaking of the Palace of Justice.

It then explores the tense proceedings of the trial against Colonel Alfonso Plazas Vega, who was prosecuted for the forced disappearance of 12 people, most of them cafeteria workers at the Palace. The trial is told through multiple perspectives, ranging from the Colonel’s own account to that of the families of the disappeared.
